It all started with a $1.5 million donation by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd on behalf of the Australian Federal Government, followed by other signifcant doners such as The Lexus Ball, Mirvac, Mr Kerry Stokes, Beth Scott (who for the past five years has walked from Fremantle to Perth for Telethon, which this this year she raised $3,390 - adding to the $75,000 she's raised for Telethon over the years).

$35,000 from Westrac
$27,315 from Peter Moyes Anglican School and Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre.
The true stars of this year’s Telethon were 11 year old Wade Clare (metropolitan child) and 6 year old Trent Wailu (regional child). The boys gave Telethon countless magic moments with their smiling faces and adorable personalities, not only on stage but also behind the scenes as they won the hearts of all those who met them.
Soul Mystique, amongst a huge line-up of Seven Network talent who flew in from around Australia, donated their time on air to run the 40 hour event.
Revved up by the one and only John Deeks (known as the 'voice of Channel 7'), Soul Mystique joined an incredible array of talented performers to entertain the crowd including Jimmy Barnes, Jessica Mauboy, Ian Moss, Guy Sebastian, The Ten Tenors, Vanessa Amorosi, Damien Leith, & Carl Riseley.
