Born in Singapore and raised in Australia, dance has always played a big part in her life, since an early age of four - first in Ballet, Jazz, and later in Latin & Ballroom.

Lydia’s love for this latter style of dance stemmed from the exposure of Latin music at an early age at home. She took her first steps into ballroom dancing at age 12, after enviously watching her mother 'Jive'. Little did they both know that nine years later Lydia would leave Australia and represent her country in dancesport, winning titles all over the globe. This was all done in a partnership with Gavin.

Not only has Lydia pursued her passion in dance, but she is an Honors graduate in Business Communication, excelling in multi-media and marketing. In between show contracts she continues to work on projects channelled towards helping new artists develop in producing their marketing materials.

Lydia is the Creative Director for Soul Mystique. She writes the storylines, produces the music, and designs all the costumes in their shows. Her dream is to create a fashion label one day, which incorporates her style of elegance and mystery for ‘the girl next door’.
